1. If you have installed new pipe work, you should attach inlet spurs to the taps before you have to install the bath in its final position.

2. Put the bath into position. You may want to stand it away from the wall at the front end so that you can build in a shelf. Connect the Thief pipes.

3. Fit the waste trap and attach it to the waste pipe. When all the pipe work is connected up, turn on the water and check for leaks.

4. When installing a mixer with a shower attachment, fix the shower head bracket to the wall and fit the shower head into the bracket (inset).

5. Attach the outlet end of the flexible shower hose to central outlet on the mixer unit, It should plug in and click into position with a slight turn.

6. Check that the bath is lever both lengthways and widthways with a spirit level. Adjust the screwed-on feet to get the level right.

7. Fix the bath panels in position by screwing them to the wooden car case which surrounds the bath and is supplied by the manufacturer.

8. Screw the panels on carefully. They will usually be made of moulded high impact polystyrene which is easily chipped around the screw holes.

9. When all the bath work is complete you will have to make good the decor. If possible tile around the bath and box in the pipe work.
